These terms apply to payments made by donors through the Fund Fido platform. They replace generic payment processor agreement text on this page and explain how Fund Fido payments, fees, credits, and campaign outcomes work.
1. Overview
These Payment Terms govern payments made by donors through the Fund Fido platform. By submitting a payment to support a campaign, you agree to these terms, our general site terms, and any campaign-specific disclosures shown at checkout.
Fund Fido provides a crowdfunding platform that helps donors support veterinary-related campaigns. Fund Fido is not a bank, is not a charitable organization, and does not represent that contributions made through the platform are charitable donations for tax purposes.
2. Payments and fees
All donor payments are processed securely through Stripe using the payment method you provide at checkout. By submitting a payment, you authorize Fund Fido and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the full amount of your contribution.
Fund Fido charges a 2% platform fee, and payment processing fees are deducted from each transaction rather than charged separately to the donor. Stripe's standard published fee for successful domestic online card transactions is 2.9% + 30¢, although Stripe fees can vary based on card type, country, or other factors.
Fund Fido deducts its 2% platform fee and applicable payment processing fees from each transaction. These fees are not charged separately to the donor unless Fund Fido expressly discloses a different checkout flow.

3. No refunds and unsuccessful campaigns
All payments made through Fund Fido are final. Fund Fido does not offer refunds for donor payments, including if a campaign does not reach its target or does not move forward in the way originally anticipated, except where Fund Fido is required to provide a refund under applicable law.
Unsuccessful campaigns:
If a campaign is not successful, the donor does not receive a monetary refund. Instead, the donor will receive Fund Fido credits that may be applied toward another eligible campaign on the platform.
4. Fund Fido credits
Fund Fido credits may be used only on eligible campaigns offered through the platform and have no cash value except where required by law. Credits are non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash, and may not be resold.
Unless otherwise stated in writing by Fund Fido, credits expire one year after they are issued. Any unused credits that expire will be forfeited and transferred to the Fund Fido general campaign fund.
5. Taxes and receipts
Fund Fido is not a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and payments made through the platform are not tax-deductible charitable contributions unless Fund Fido expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific campaign. Donors are solely responsible for consulting their own tax advisors regarding any tax treatment of a payment.
Payment confirmations generated by the platform are receipts for payment activity only. They are not charitable donation receipts and should not be treated as proof of tax-deductible giving.
7. Disputes and contact
Fund Fido may delay, decline, or review any transaction that appears unauthorized, fraudulent, unlawful, or inconsistent with platform activity. If a donor initiates a chargeback or payment dispute, Fund Fido may suspend related account activity while the matter is reviewed.
Questions regarding a payment, campaign credit, or account activity should be directed to Fund Fido support using the contact information published on the platform. Fund Fido may update these Payment Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page.
